Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about asphalt paving, maintenance, and working with our company.

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all residential and commercial projects. Contact us by phone or fill out our online form and we will schedule a time to come out and assess your property.
What areas do you serve in Massachusetts?
We serve all cities and towns throughout Massachusetts. Based in Southborough, MA, we travel statewide to complete residential and commercial paving projects. No matter where you are in MA, call us and we will come to you.
How long does a new driveway installation take?
Most residential driveways can be completed in a single day, depending on size and scope. Commercial projects and larger properties may take 2–3 days. We will give you a clear timeline during your estimate.
How long should I stay off my new asphalt?
We recommend staying off a newly paved surface for at least 24–48 hours. Avoid heavy vehicles and sharp turns for the first 2–4 weeks while the asphalt cures, especially in hot weather.
How often should I sealcoat my driveway?
We recommend sealcoating every 2–3 years for most residential driveways, and more frequently for high-traffic commercial surfaces. Regular sealcoating is the most cost-effective way to extend the life of your pavement.
Do you offer senior citizen and veteran discounts?
Yes. We are proud to offer discounts to senior citizens and veterans. Mention your status when requesting your estimate and we will apply the discount to your project.
Can you repair just a section of my asphalt rather than replacing everything?
Absolutely. In many cases, targeted patching and repair is the most cost-effective solution. We will assess your pavement and recommend the best approach, whether that is spot repair, overlay, or full replacement.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Middlesex Asphalt Services Inc is fully licensed and insured to operate in Massachusetts. We carry full liability insurance and workers compensation coverage on every project.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Payment terms are discussed during the estimate process. We do not require full payment upfront.
Do you do both residential and commercial work?
Yes. We serve both residential and commercial clients, including homeowners, property managers, HOAs, businesses, schools, and municipalities. No job is too small or too large for our experienced team.
